Anne Gaëlle Arnaud peint depuis toujours et a également étudié l’art de la céramique aux Beaux Arts de Vallauris.
Installée à Biot, sur la Côte d’Azur, elle a toujours été attirée par la peinture abstraite, qui s’est imposée à elle naturellement, par amour pour la couleur, la composition.
Cette relation directe avec des paysages dégageant un charme puissant l’a sans doute amenée à peindre des motifs issus de cet univers. Beaucoup de grands artistes ont été inspirés par la lumière et l’énergie de la Côte d’Azur: Cézanne, Matisse ou même encore Nicolas De Staël à qui Anne Gaëlle rend un brillant hommage. Anne Gaëlle l’a saisie et s’en est emparée pour créer des peintures qui dégagent la même énergie que ce qu’ils représentent. Un voilier se transforme alors en une flamme rouge incandescente. L’image du voilier, abstrait, se transforme en une symphonie de couleurs… celles-ci rythment la logique picturale du tableau qui est une véritable ode au mouvement.
Dans « le port d’Antibes », les voiliers patientent, leurs mâts touchent le ciel vers l’éternel puis au second plan le paysage s’endort, en attendant de nouveaux matins…
Les toiles d’Anne Gaëlle Arnaud, tantôt abstraites, tantôt figuratives tendent absolument au ressenti, à l’émotion, à une impression d’ensemble, l’espace pictural étant avant tout un espace très intérieur, presque intime, mais un espace infiniment libre.

Anne Gaëlle Arnaud has been painting since she could hold a brush, also studying the craft of ceramics at the Beaux Arts school in Vallauris.
